Mavalli Tioffin Rooms is one of the oldest restaurent in the city opened way back in 1924. It is a restaurent which serves delicious food in an old fashioned style with all the waiters in their traditional dress. The ambience, though not posh and modern, is comfortable enough for a middle-class visitor. There are more than around 20 items served for lunch and dinner. The food is wholesome and reasonably priced.

It is indeed a pleasure to eat pure-vegetarian food at the MTR restaurant which always maintains a traditional and homely atmosphere. The food, though not so spicy, is very appetizing and is suited to young and old alike. We go the restaurant frequently only for the taste of the food.
The restaurant is located at a convenient place and the food is definitely worth the cost.
