Introduction of English for Jr.&Sr Kg Kids
My motto of writing this article is to help those parent who find it difficult that how to reduce burden for their kids while learrning english and want their kids to read. As a mother I found it is very difficult that how should i introduce my daughter with english reading pattern because as in hindi language there is a set pattern of learning the language that is first the kid is introduced with the swar, the vanjajan, then two letter word without the maatras and the with the maatras with the help of barahkhadi, but there is no set patten in English language after learing alpahabets. Phonic sounds diagraphs and blends are some of the ways to make Jr. and Sr. Kg kids to learn reading and writing in english language.
Phonic sound are sound of different letters in english like for
A and E -ए sound is used in Ant and Egg, but at some places sounds of अ and इ are used like in a table, english respectively.
Diagraph - two alphabet join together to make one sound for e.g. ch -च for chain chest, but what about ch in chritmas, so there is no set pattern which english language follow.
Blends are Fl-फ्ल in flag cl -क्ल in clap.
Then the cvc word are introduced these word help a lot like A vowel sound words cat bat hat mat etc, e vowel sound as in egg, pen ten etc, i vowel sound as in ink ,fig etc, o vowel sound as in cot, hot, log etc, u vowel sound as in hut, cut, nut etc.
Then simple sentences using the words can be introduced like Dad has a bat, It is my ox, The ball is in the tub etc. Fe word can be given to them so that they can frame their won sentenses, but before that they should be introduced to simple words like It, is, am, has, have and some preposition like in, on, under, near, far etc so that they can frame their own sentenses.
And the most important thing which i found is to make them learn the spellings of different words whether the spelling is long aor short and allow them to frame sentences.
Practising Woksheets with picture also help the kids to learn fast and make them remember the things for long time as writing is also important.
