College life is the integral part of our life. It decides our future whether we are going to live a happy sophisticated life or a mediocre life. Placements usually occur during the final semester. There are two kinds of companies which come for interviews. They are sore companies and other category is Information Technology companies. Core companies recruit only minimum number of people where as the IT companies recruit in bulk of hundreds. Only few people can get into core companies. We had to be very proficient to get into core companies. When they are electrical students companies like BSNL are called core companies. Companies like CTS, TCS are IT companies. These are stated only for examples.

Any kind of a company will expect students with great talent both on the technical side and also on the aptitude side. Last minute preparation will not help any part of these. There must be prior preparation. Most important activities that must be followed during preparation will be listed below. I am following these procedures and I am finding great results. Hope any one will get good results.

First of all select which kind of a company you are going to attend. When it is an IT company then we must prepare well in advance. First we must start with aptitude preparation, then we must prepare technical questions. The number of rounds and the procedures will vary in each company and we must get to know the procedure before we could attend the interview. Preparing the company profile is very important before we can start with the interview.

Whether it is aptitude questions or technical questions, daily preparation must be done. Daily preparation will improve the preparation very well. Start with collecting the basic questions. Collect all the question papers of every company. Then make a question bank and find the most recurring topics. Very important topics concerning the interviews are data structures, operating systems, databases. These form the basic of every interview. 

There are many good sites which will provide a large collection of questions for interviews. Make a separate note to write down all the questions and topics that you prepare so that revision will be easy on the last minute. Last minute revision will help not preparation. Discuss with your friends every question and the answers. You can get to know different answers and approaches. The most efficient approaches and they will be appreciated. When all these discussions are made with friends there is great tendency to remember all the questions and answers. Then we can perform well on all the phases.

Thus the key points are start preparation very early. Make preparation on a daily basis and discuss every question and answers with friends. Thus have successful placements.
