The Bengal tiger or Royal Bengal tiger is a, found in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan, Burma and china. The Indian tigers, the Royal Bengal tigers are the most found in Sundarban in Bengal, Ranthambore National Park, Sariska Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan, Kanha national park, Bandhavgrah in Madhya Pradesh, Corbett tiger reserve in uttaranchal and Manas Tiger reserve in Assam. The Bengal tiger is subspecies of tiger. The Bengal tiger is one of the most numerous of the tiger subspecies.

Physical characteristics: The male tiger’s average lengths are (including the tail) 270 to 320 cm and the average weight is 224.5 kg. The Female tiger’s average lengths are 240–265 cm and the tail measures 85–110 cm and the average weight is 135.5 kg. Male tigers are larger than female tigers. The color of the Royal Bengal Tigers yellow to light orange, dark brown to black strips, and the tail is white with black. Tigers have a large head, big ears and thick whiskers.

Diet: Royal Bengal Tigers are pure carnivores meaning that they have a diet of meat and hunt Deer, rabbits, Pig, buffalo, elephants etc, tigers have also been eating small prey, such as monkeys, hares, birds, cattle. Bengal tigers If injured, Aged, or weak, may even consume humans. When a tiger turn to human, it becomes known to turn man-eater and may continue to prey on humans.

Habitat: Tigers choose thick grass, dense jungle and undergrowth in which they can hide and wait for their prey. The stripes on the hide of the tiger act as an incredible camouflage and help the tiger conceal itself in tall grass and vegetation. In the dry jungles of wildlife parks in Ranthambore and Sariska in Rajasthan India, tigers are often seen in the ruins of monuments and temples in the park. Tigers unlike other cats, like water and in the hot summer are often seen sitting or lying in pools of water to stay cool and are good swimmers.

Behavior: Royal Bengal Tigers are usually lived in single. Tiger’s family consists of commonly female tigers and her cubs.  Cubs live with her for around 18 month to 2 years. Male tigers are known to fight their territory from other tigers.  Tigers mark their territory by spraying urine and spraying scent from a specialized gland. Bengal Tiger is good swimmer. Tigers choose dense jungle, thick grass and bushes in which they can hide and wait for hunting their prey. In the wild, tigers live from 8- 15 years.

Lifecycle: The Male and Female tiger interact with each other. They can meet any time but commonly between November and April. Females can have cubs at the age of 3–4 years; males reach maturity by about 4 years old. After 103 days, 2-5 cubs are born. Newborn cubs weigh about 1 kg and they are blind. They take milk only 6-8 week then they are introducing meat. The cubs stay with their mother 18 to 2 years and then they own start hunting.
