1. Avoid using lights in day time.Try to use the sunlight by opening the windows.

2. Whenever you go out please make a double check that all lights and fans are switched OFF.

3. Use bulbs which consume less power.

4. When you are not actively using the computer in office / home, switch off it or put it in sleep mode so that the power consumption is less.

5. When using AC keep the doors and windows closed. Use AC whenever it is needed.Also you can set a timer so that the A/c is automatically switched off after some time.

6.If you have any lights near your entrance make sure it is switched off in night.

7. When you plan for any trip more than a week clean your refigerator and switch it off.

8. Switch off your TV when you are not seeing. Some of us have the habit of putting TV and talking in phone or doing some other thing.

9. Avoid putting heater once for each person as it will increase consumption.If all persons took bath in more or less same time you can save some power.

10. Avoid opening the refrigerator frequently.

11. Use pressure cookers instead of rice cooker.

12. In office, when the person is on leave / left the a/c or light or fan in that can be switched off.

13. We can use washing machine if we have a bunch of clothes.Otherwise we can wash it wish hands.

14. Switch off the motor immediately after the tank overflows to avoid the wastage of water as well as electricity.

15. In residential flats, common lights can be switched off in night when not in use.

16. Political parties can minimise the usage of decoration lights in public meetings.

17. People can try to minimise or atlease use low consuption lights for festivals and functions.

18. Avoid using microwave ovens.Instead we can use gas stove

19. Remove the mobile charges from the plug after the mobile is charged.

20. If you have more than one TV in your house, use both only when needed. Otherwise all can see a single TV.
