My friend and I went to the cinema hall in a rush as soon as our class got over. Inside the hall we were very surprised that apart from us, there were only a handful of people present - a dozen perhaps.
Anyway, when a film makes its mark in a Top 250 list your expectations rise naturally. Though with Tarantino at the helm, I, partially, was wary of the fact that Top 250 also represented a mob-mentality. Tarantino junkies in particular are infamous for promoting his films by rating them so highly so that they enter into the Top list and remain there; in doing so ensuring the injustice made to more deserving films (IMHO).
The film, IMO, from the start to finish was a very dull experience, to the point of being ponderous at times - something which is not so uncharacteristic of Tarantino, though. Much has been written and said about WWII and infinite films have been made already on the subject. But the film was different in a way that it demanded not to be taken seriously given its serious subject. I take the film to be a parody on the German Nazis which was reflected through its very founder, Adolf Hitler. In one scene the head of the Nazis (not Hitler) was seen laughing hysterically for over 10 seconds over something he found implausible.
I guess I shouldn't write much about the film. May be I will like to watch it again when its DVD releases. With subtitles on, I would be able to catch everything Brad Pitt mumbled in that ass-nigga/Tennessee/Texan accent. May be the film is not that bad after all, but its high ratings and the deification of its director in the IMDb forums is getting nauseating.
7.5/10 for now.

The Hills Run Red
no acting,no plot but VERY watchable! yes exactly if u liked Texas chainsaw massacre or wrong turn..u will defently like the hills run red...its like a cross between the two..of course dont compare the budget of hills with TCM ..but its not bad at all....the film has its moments...a few chills here n thre...the film mainly concentrates on gore...its a gore splatter fest..gore and torture fans wud love this.....as usual the film also has its share of nudity n sex...surely a one time watch!

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof - 1958
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is an enthralling, intense and quite emotional film about frustrated Elizabeth Taylor who want her husband Paul Newman to impregnate her, who isn't affectionate of her at all and to top that off the head of the family Big daddy is about to die.
As the story unfold this movie looks a bit predictable/deja vu but what it stands out for is acting and execution. I was engrossed deeply into it, Elizabeth Taylor was looking excruciatingly beautiful. Paul Newman was amazing and handsome, his acting was superb. Its a very good movie. It rightly deserved every Oscar nomination.

The Butterfly Effect (2004)
Oh I cannot tell you how much I loved this movie. The last couple of weeks have been extraordinary. I haven't seen a bad film since a long long time now, may be a sheer luck of choice, but man.. This movie was one of the best thrillers. I'm already in love with the concept and this film was a great product of it. Ashton Kutcher, I don't think is a perfect actor for such a movie. I haven't said this very many times but-I think Keanu Reeves would have been truely amazing for this one, having seen his Constantine & The Devil's Advocate and of-course the Matrix. There is no relevance of any kind, but I'm pretty much sure he would have rocked. Although he would look too old for this role I guess. Nonetheless, Ashton Kutcher wasn't bad at all. He was good. There wasn't excellence in all the fields of film making, but editing was classy. The movie is not under-rated either.
A sweet 7.6/10 on IMDb, although my rating would be more.
A great movie which keeps you glued to the seat till the end, not even letting you to blink once. An enthralling experience and a well made movie. And yeah, this probably would be the best movie of Ashton Kutcher till now and years to come.
