Positive effects of Reality TV.??

Guys, think about this.. Reality TV has always been criticised from the negative light.. But still, do you think that these are giving us enough room to learn something or making us better prepared to face the World??

Shows like Roadies and Fear Factor give us a full-on treat on 'Adventure'.. Do you think that watching others do death-defying stunts in T.V give us some amount of motivation. Like, if someone from Fear Factor can carry of munching some leeches, or climbing huge mountains.. Does that make you feel that even you can do it.. or move ahead and perform such a task..
it definitely does teach you that time required to get fame is inversely proportional to your self dignity.
The success of reality TV survives because of the sheer contempt that its audience have for it.

How many times have you found yourself watching Big Brother whilst quizzing yourself on why you are watching such rubbish? It makes us feel tasteless, dirty and cheap and if it didn't I'm sure that we wouldn't bother watching it.

People are just totally gripped by misanthropy, the ridiculous and the cruel to an extent where they just can't divorce themselves from it.

With all this said, reality TV is perhaps the best thing to come out of the television networks within the last few years. It has created a buzz that many shows have failed to match. People have something to talk about when they meet at the coffee shops and have been reminded that TV can actually be exciting and is a great well to tell human stories.

Would those Big Brother contestants act the same if there were no cameras? I strongly doubt it, but, I suppose without them we wouldn't know so you can't really win. No reality show can even come close to the layered and intelligent comedy that is shown with the likes of The Simpsons, but, both genres certainly seem to have a role in the televisual marketplace.
But what exactly do we feel about this 'motivational' quality? Does it grip the viewers.?
when coming to the motivation these shows provide, it actually depends upon the viewers completely. It is like, watching your girlfriend with another guy, and then making basless assumptions without thinking about the kind of relationship she is having with that guy. It depends on YOU how do you take it!

I'm sure everybody has found themselves willing on their favourite Indian Idol contestant at some point and being distraught when they get eliminated. If you can actually get motivated in doing something positive from the reality shows, its good for you. If you take them for the negative aspect, its you who'll suffer in the end.

So, about the motivation factor, I feel, it depends on one's wish. I know, I watch Roadies for the fun, and drama; I do not watch it to be motivated to perform such acts!
It certainly teaches us that if a superhuman with the name ''Shaktimaan'' exists who kills villains and saves people from pissing....we should jump off from our terraces, and kill ourselves, in an expectation that he will fly away and come to us with his undies over his pants to save us?

How far the question goes for adventure reality shows? No morals buddy, it only motivates people to break their bones and do gruesome acts in real life which is very saddening to their families.
