If losing weight through diet is the top most priority for you in you'r daily life, then you must go on and finish reading this article!.I'm not the best person to be talking about dieting because,put me within a meter of food and my mouth starts to water.

It's just a basic intinct of us to eat as much as we can,since our species has survived,and thrived because we learned to make food for ourselves,we no longer needed to go in search of food but,we would grow them ourselves.

There are many theories to explain why we are sometimes obsessed with eating,some researchers say that we have harmones that make us hungry all the time,yet some researchers suggest that man witnessed famines for many centuries hence that instict of eating a lot whenever we get time has not yet left us.

Whatever the reason may be,that keeps us wanting food,we've to reduce our urge.Even more,modern day food cantains a lot of fats and unwanted carbohydrates,rather than nutritiouc food.

We see around us packaged food that has an expiry date,frozen food ready to be cooked or grilled,lots of snacks and soft drinks.In modern day we are exposed to more unwanted food.Hence proper dieting is important.Even if you don't want to reduce your weight,you still need to keep yourself healthy.Dieting doesn't mean just reducing food,it means adjusting the kind of food intake so that you get enough nutrition yet get the unwanted fat away.

Lets start with the facts.The main things that is discussed whenever some one talks about dieting,it's always about calorie,carbohydrates,proteins,etc.,We will do the same:

How much calories should you intake?

It's very simple, you've to take foods with less calories so that you expend more energy than intake,whenever you do somekind of physical work.i.e. for example in a day you spend more than 1000 calories,then your intake calories must me less than that.I'm not going to discuss the ways you measure the calories in your food and the methods to find out how much calories you need everyday(since you've lot of articles in internet to explain those) because this article is just a guideline

What are carbohydrates?

Most of the foods we consume contains carbs.Carbohydrates give you a lot of enery,not harmful as fat, but can affect you in long run.Also avoiding carbs completely is not possible and not adviceable.Cooked food(espedcially steamed ones) are great for moderate consumption of carbs and they are also fat free!.

The main enemy-Fat:

One of the main element that accelerates your weight gain.Most oily products contain fat.Whatever the content of a food package says,if it's just fat or saturated fat,or trans-fat,etc., it's harmful.Let's face it Fat is fat,in whatever potion you take it-less or more,you'll always have the chance of accelerating the weight gain rather than stopping it.SO avoiding fat is good.But again the food around us these days are full of fat and it's counterparts.So choosing less fatty food is good.That way you ensure that you put an significant end to the acceleration in your weight gain.

Have you heard of liquid calories?

That's right.The dinks,either soft drinks or hot.They contain a lot of calories.Even fresh fruit juices have a lot of calories.So take them until you feel like drinking them.Drinking them to quench your thirst or to drink them just for the fun of it,only increases you daily calorie intake.What ever you hear about fresh fruit juices or milk or real fruit juices, you need to know that controlled consumption is good, but if you intake them a lot,it's going to push your daily calorie intake higher.(The nextime you buy a drink,look for it's calories,you'll be astonished)

Now to something more like a hero of weight loss-Protein

Proteins are filled with energy,yet they help in reducing weight.How? well they help build up your muscles and the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn.The amount of calories spent increases when you have lots of muscle.Lots of muscles does'nt mean you get a six pack abs, with a body like Ronnie coleman, it's just enough that you do some mild improvement on your muscles.

But again we don't find many protein rich foods around us(take one out of three food package,it'll have the lowest of protein content)And also research show that protein foods tend to reduce blood pressure.So if you are having a high blood pressure you might want to consider exercise and protein.

And at the last, the god of all weight loss methods:- Exercise

What ever is your goal-if you want to feel better or if you want to look better, either way exercise is the answer.Also lots of food and lots of exercise dosen't improve your chances of reducing the weight significantly,so a good,low areb,low fat, high protein,nutritious food is better,and it helps out with the weight loss when you do exercise.

Exercise can be taking a walk,cycling or working out in a gym.People who've managed to live longer,and avoided weight gain,will always have exrecise as their routein.Having aerobic exercise(walking,running,cycling or simple exercises) daily are essential, you can do muscular exercises twice or thrice a week with two or three days gap between workouts.

So next time you eat something, be conscious about your health,but don't push the concept of diet too hard that you become sceptical of having a cake on your birthday!Eat healthy,be healthy
