Ingredients :-

  • Rawa ... 2 cups
  • Rice flour ... 1 cup
  • Asafoetida ... 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt ... as per taste
  • Ginger ... 1 inch piece
  • Green chillies ... 4
  • Cashewnuts ... 12
  • Peppercorns ... 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds ... 1 teaspoon
  • Pure ghee ... 2 tablespoons
  • Oil

Method of preparation :-

  • Blend rawa, rice flour and two and one fourth cups of water to make thin batter. Add asafoetida and salt.
  • Chop ginger and wash it. Remove stems, wash and chop green chillies finely. Crush cashewnuts and all these to batter.
  • Crush peppercorns and cumin seeds. Heat ghee is a pan and fry these peppercorns and cumin seeds on a low heat. Then add all these to batter and stir well.
  • Pour a ladle full of batter and spread it by swirling the tawa in a round fashion.
  • Pour a tablespoon of oil around and on dosa and cook till it is crisp and golden in color. Remove and serve hot.
