Titanic Voyage
Titanic started its first journey on 10th April 1912 with 2216 passengers from Southampton, England to set out for New York.
People believed that Titanic was unsinkable because 70,000 tons of steel is not sinkable.

Titanic Sink
On 14th April 1912, Titanic struck an iceberg. Around 11.40 pm, iceberg stuck in the path of the ship and a sharp turn was ordered but the iceberg hit the right side of the ship and damaged the part. Initially only 5 compartments were flooded later the water was able to enter through the normal opening leading to flood 2 more compartments. Finally Titanic was completely flooded and started to sink.

Also there were not enough life boats. Titanic was capable of carrying 64 life boats but decided to carry only 16 of them. Women and children were carried to the lifeboats and hence many men could not board the life boats. Finally Titanic sank at 2.20am and more than 1500 people died.

Why did the biggest and largest Titanic sunk?
Some of them believed that it was Captain E.J Smith's fault because he ignored the ice berg's warning from his crew members and other ships. This disaster would have not happened if Captain had slowed down the ship.

Others believed that it was ship builders fault. According to the findings the rivets of the Titanic were made up of sub--standard iron and hence when ship hit the iceberg , the heads of rivets broke and this caused Titanic to fall apart.
