Hi friends in this article let us discuss about an Indian who was elected for the highest position of a city in USA. Everybody knew that Indians were present all over the world and majority of the people were in countries like USA, UK, Canada, Arab countries and many more.

We do have our citizens in all the countries, but the only thing is that the population varies in these countries. As a matter of fact many people abroad are doing well in their profession and most of them apply and get the dual citizenship.
This is a worrying factor, because our citizens are not using their talent for the benefit of our country. But practically speaking, it is difficult for the government to enforce any law against this, because they go abroad for opportunities as they couldn’t get here.

So Government should set a platform and also set opportunities so that we don’t lose any talented Indians. Many people believe that politicians here are corrupted, which can be accepted, and we wish that those corrupted money should come out and used for the development of the country.

So let us not go very deep in this, and here let us see about Mr. Kashmir Gill, who was elected as the mayor of Yuba City in California. Well, many reports say that this is the place where the first Indian settlement took place in the past, and now it is like a little Indian village, where you can see an Indian everywhere. Initially there were only ten families settled in this village, but now 12 percent of the city’s population, were Indians

Yuba City has a large Indian population of around 15,000 people against the total population of 65,000 people. Gill’s shifted to this city, from Lakhsina village in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, in 1967 along with family and he is the first Sikh to get elected for the Mayor’s post in an American city.

Many Indians all over USA came to Yuba City, where Gill was sworn in as the Mayor of the city and the interesting thing is that in this function, all the people were treated with typical Indian foods like Samosa, Channa and also many famous Indian sweets.

So let’s wish him for this achievement and also make sure that our country doesn’t lose good talents like him.
