Opportunity missed
Interview for top job
Ramesh Verma was Regional manager in a prestigious bank in Delhi. He was a very ambitious Youngman. He held a very outstanding academic record and highest professional qualifications. He applied for a senior position in a multinational company.
Birthday invitation
A day before he was to travel to Mumbai for interview, he got an invitation from Gopalaswamy, Assistant Regional manager. Ramesh declined politely saying that next morning; he had to go to Mumbai for interview. But Gopalaswamy insisted that this would be a brief party for celebrating his daughter’s birthday. This would not affect any way the schedule to travel to Mumbai. Reluctantly, Ramesh agreed. He thought of just visiting his junior’s function for about half an hour.
He reached Gopalaswamy’s residence at eight P.M. He said that he would just bless the daughter and go back soon. He also presented a gift. But Mrs. Swamy said- Sir, this is your rare visit to our cottage. We shall not waste your time. Just stay with us for an hour only. The celebration will start soon.
He waited for some time. Birthday cake was cut and everyone chanted- Happy birthday to you- Pinky. Ramesh thanked for the invitation and said- I had good time. Now let me leave. Mrs. Gopalaswamy virtually caught hold of Ramesh and strongly protested- sir, you are to go tomorrow only. This will not affect your interview. Everyone knows you are a genius.
Rare hospitality
Ramesh was flattered. He could not resist Mrs. Swamy. She said- Just take dinner and then leave. You are to go to Mumbai only tomorrow.
All guests were gone. Only Ramesh was left. He felt that he was getting an unusual hospitality. Mrs. Swamy must have prepared the dishes enthusiastically. He thought of not disappointing the lady. After all, he was to go next day only. What matters if he spends some time in his junior’s house for the rare hospitality?
Fast music was being played in the drawing room. Soon Mrs. Swamy stepped in with some non vegetarian snacks. Ramesh had weakness for non vegetarian dish and wine. Mrs. Swamy poured whiskey in two glasses- for her husband and Ramesh. A few minutes later, he was given another drink. Now Ramesh resisted very feebly saying- This way, my interview will be flop. Mrs. Swamy offered third drink to Ramesh and sat close to him.
The phone rang. After receiving the call, Mr. Swamy said that he had to rush immediately to see his relative living in the city as there was some trouble. Ramesh also got up and was to leave. But Swamy said- Sir, be comfortable. Leave only after dinner. Now Ramesh was alone with Mrs. Swamy. Mrs. Swamy left for five minutes and returned in very provocative and transparent dress. She sat close to Ramesh. Her tone changed. She poured some whiskey in her glass also. She said- I am sure your interview will be very successful. You are a genius.
Mrs Swamy shares bed
Ramesh got very intoxicated. He could hardly move. Mrs Swamy said. ‘Ramesh! Today I have very rare opportunity of proximity to you. Let us sleep together. She guided him to her bedroom. She slept with Ramesh. She embraced, kissed and surrendered herself. Ramesh was in heavenly bliss. Mrs. Swamy appeared Apsara of Indra Lok. They reached the climax that night.
Interview opportunity missed
Next day, Ramesh awoke at 1 P.M. He was still feeling hangover. He washed his hands and face in the adjoining room. A maid servant came and said- Saheb and Mem Saheb have left for Meerut as there was an urgent call. She brought tea and some biscuits to Ramesh.
Now there was no question of attending interview. Present day Apsara had disturbed plan of Ramesh. He moved to his residence and slept for hours.
Mrs. Swamy’s brother selected
Two days later Ramesh came to know that some Muthuswamy had been selected for the post for which he failed to appear in interview. Somebody told that the person selected was Gopalaswamy’s brother in law.
Chastity lost for brother’s career
Ramesh had food for thought. He had missed the opportunity because he lost sight of his target and was lured by charms of woman and wine. His first thought was that Mrs. Swamy is so unchaste. But on second thought, he appreciated her character. She lost her chastity to another man for the sake of her brother’s career. So, she is a great lady.
