There is a saying "Law will take its own course"  However in the case of celebrities the "Law normally  takes a longer course than usual"  Let us take examples of a couple of celebrities who had the opportunities of finishing their careers on a high, which they actually did not deserve.

Navjot Singh Sidhu:- In a very successful career Sidhu played 51 Tests and 136 one dayers for India.  He made his debut in 1983 and quit international cricket in 1999 after playing for 16 years.   Sidhu played with great distinction for India especially the period between 1987 to 1998 wherein he was at the peak of this powers.  The thing to be noted here is that there was a case filed against for  homicide in Dec 1988.  Sidhu however was allowed to play and performed magnificently for India.  Siddhu however was finally found guilty in Dec 2006 i.e. 7 years after Sidhu had quit from the game on his own terms.

Had there not been in any relaxation or delay in legal process in case of Sidhu, his career would have ended even before it started.

Sanjay Dutt:- Sanjay Dutt was accused for  possessing arms under TADA in 1993.  Inspite of being accused and being under jail for a few months, Sanjay Dutt was given special liberties because of his celebrity status.  He was allowed to go even abroad, complete shooting of his films and lead a luxurious life.  Sanjay Dutt acquired as much money and fame as much a Bollywood Star or any celebrity would have made in India.  Now Sanjay Dutt is 50 years old now, and even if the final judgement is given against him, he need not have any regrets as he has already enjoyed his life.  Infact he has enjoyed his life more than any other normal person.

An analysis of the careers of Navjot Singh Sindhu and Sanjay Dutt, one feel the law is not equal to all.
