Each gram of water condense to release approximately 2500J of energy and this energy in the storm generates electrons, these huge number of electrons generate cloud to cloud lightning and cloud to ground lightning. So, the roaring thunders and flashing lightning can be seen in thunder storms.

They can drive sea water inside coastal cities. Every year USA alone looses millions of dollars in mitigation and reconstruction in the affected areas. Pacific hurricanes are even more dangerous than hurricanes
