aorta (a major blood vessel)..The tongue weigh is 4 tons.
A female gives birth every two or three years to a calf weighing about 6356 kilograms(14,012 pounds).
Blue Whales live in very small groups. They frequently swim in pairs. They are very fast swimmers.
Their feeding speeds are slower, about 1-4 mph. They are seasonal feeders.Tiny crustaceans and small
fish from water is their food.
Blue Whale emit very loud and repetitive low frequency sounds that can travel for many miles underwater.
They are probably louder tha jet engine.They emit for communicating with other blue whales and mates.
They lives at the surface of the ocean and found in all the oceans of the world.
The blue whale is a mammal, not a fish.The gestation period is about 11-12 months , The calf is born
tail first and near the surface in warm and shallow water. Within 30 minutes of its birth the baby whale
can swim, it is helped by its mother. The calf is about 25 feet long and 6-8 tons of weighs.They lives
up to 50 years.
Because of extensive hunting, fewer than 4000 may survive today, down from several hundred thousand
a century ago. The remaining whales were thought to be concentred in the oceans of the southern
Hemisphere, but the population in the northern oceans may infact , be larger.
