When she a child she always dreamt of flying in the sky. She was really fascinated by the blue sky, the stars......
She turned her dream into reality....by immense hard work and perseverance....
Though she was grown up in a very small town in India....still she had the daring and ‘can do’ attitude …which enabled her to conquer her dreams…
She was a very good student... much forwarded too.
During the 1960s in India very few people specially...very very few women had this ‘can do’ and daring attitude....to achieve something...
From KARNAL to SPACE.....a very very very BIG step....which she took and inspired a billions of people all over da world.....

Some people think that she was just lucky enough to get away as she got scope in USA.
Some think dat as she was grown up there it was easy for her to become an astronaut.
I may aware u dat there are millions there who aspire to become astronauts… Do all of them become astronauts???
In her case… just think how many of us make the best use of second choices?? How many of us accept failures and try to learn from them. When we fail in doin something, we blame our fate, give excuses... but never ever take the blame on us…
Its very easy to say “Learn from ur failures” but how many of us implement this saying in real life…
There is a saying “The persons who have failed greatly have achieved greatly!!!”
I would like to request people not to compare these great personalities
They have reached the same goals but in different paths…… but one thing which is similar between them is their determination and perseverance…
Try to see these persons as humans not as person of a particular ethnicity or religion.
Kalpana di always said “I was not born to be a part of the corner of the world, the whole universe is my native land…”
THESE PERSONS ARE THE REAL STARS, THE REAL CITIZENS OF EARTH AS WELL AS UNIVERSE…
