Sachin's Rare Cricketing Record
All of us are aware that Sachin Tendulkar holds almost every batting record in Tests Matches and One Day Internationals. There are a couple of achievements of Sachin Tendulkar which many are not aware of. They are
1) 100 Combined Centuries in First Class and List A
Sachin Tendulkar is the first Indian to score more than combined 100 centuries in all forms of the game . This feat has been achieved only by 36 batsmen in the history of cricket. Sachin is the only the second Asian after Zaheer Abbas to have achieved this feat.
Of the 36 batsmen who have the distinction of scoring 100 or more hundreds in First Class and List "A" put together, only Sachin Tendulkar with 86 hundreds and Ricky Ponting with 66 hundreds have scored more than 50 centuries in their international careers. Lot of batsmen like Hick and Ramprakash got their runs in county cricket playing against weaker teams.

Please note that First Class means apart from Test Cricket, matches played in domestic tournaments like Ranji Trophy, Irani Trophy, Duleep Trophy, Deodhar Trophy, matches played for English Counties like Somerset, Australian counties like Queeensland. The records of this matches when joined with Test match records become First Class Records
List A means domestic tournaments like Challenger Trophy. Any one day match apart other than one day internationals gets classified in List A format. The records of tournaments like these all across the world joined with one day records become List A records.
2) 10000 runs and 100 Wickets in One day internations.
Only 4 players in the history of One Day Inernationals have scored more than 10000 runs and 100 wickets. Sachin was the first to achieve this feat, followed by three others Sanath Jayasurya, Sourav Ganguly and Jaque Kallis.
Many of us are so deeply engrossed in usual cricketing records like most centuries and most runs, this particular ones are not known to many of us.
