Taj Mahal was built with white marble in 1648 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. TheTaj Mahal is considered the jewel of the Muslim art in India. The tomb is the central focus of the entire Taj Mahal. The tomb stands on the middle and is surrounded by four white marble minarates. In the foreground, enclosed a pool in whose waters the inverted place becomes quivering dream. The Taj Mahal seems to glow in the light of full moon. While entering through the main gate one could find a garden, a mosque, a guest house and several other palatial buildings. The river Yamuna flows behind the Taj Mahal. The main arches are chisel with the passages of holy Quran and the work of flowery pattern which was once studded with expensive diamonds and gold. To enter the mausoleum one need to put a cloth around their feet which one can rent for a small fee just before the stairs leading to the tomb. It is considered the eight wonders of the world.
