TERMINOLOGY USED IN NETWORK
Terminology used in network are as follows:
(a) Unicast:
unicast is defined as connection between two computers i.e. between a computer and a server.
(b) Multicast:
multicast is defined as connection between many computers i.e lan or voice chat eg. yahoo.
(c) Broadcast:
broadcast is defined as connection between all computer or networking devices.
(d) Simplex:
it is a one way communication and it is not widley used as it is a single way communication.
(e) Duplex:
it is a two way communication and it is classified as half and full duplex.
(1)Half duplex can be explained as consider there are two systems A and B, if A communicates with B, B has to wait till A completes.
(2)Full duplex can be explained as consider there are two systems A and B, both can communicate at the same time.
