Students are often taken out on excursions by the school. An excursion is not for mere fun and enjoyment but for education. Travel broadens experience. Theoretical knowledge is got from maps but real experience is got when those places are visited. Before going on any excursion, the histories of the places to be visited should be studied carefully. When we visit the place, we should take notes of all the important events connected with the place in our note book. Obedience to the elders is of the utmost importance during an excursion. Every student should get into a van or bus one by one in an orderly manner. In an exhibition or museum, no article should be touched without permission. Every student should attentively listen to the teacher. Teacher should explain things about a place. None should be indifferent or apathetic or stay away from the party. It is not good to carry costly things, especially jewels or other valuables, while traveling. One should be careful while going near a river or the sea. Getting into water to swim or bathe, without the assistance of the teacher is very dangerous. It should be avoided. During a journey by train or by bus do not stick out your head or hands. We should pray to God before starting on our journey that the trip may be joyful and useful besides being safe.
