The following are some of the common mistakes that i have observed during various conversations. I have placed the mistakes inside inverted comma( "" ) and given the correct usage in the next line.

  1. Goodevening, "myself" Advait.

Myself is used only when a person performs actions by himself withot the help of others. Using myself before a noun is a big blunder. For eg. I was wondering if i                     could do the assignment myself.

Sometimes goodevening can also be a mistake depending on the time, so the best way to ignore such a mistake is to use the word "good day".

2. Where do you put up?

This is a very informal and incorrect way of covnersing with anyone because a person cannot put himself up anywhere. put up means to put something on the shelf,                 bed, mat etc.

3. My friend had "met with" an accident.

You might ask me why i have framed  this very commonly used  sentence. Well that is because you never meet an accident. A meeting is anything that is planned in                advance but in the case of an accident, it is sponatneous so if you have to tell any third person about an accident you may very well say "my friend had an accident".

4. Can you "do friendship" with me?

You can never ask a person to "do friendship" with you. The best question that you may ask can be "will you be my friend?" or "can we be friends?"

5. Television media is "more" better.

This mistake is very often committed by even those who are fluent in speaking. Instead of using more use much. We must not overlook the fact that better is already                there in the sentence to substantiate for better.

6. I was at my uncle's house until "yesterday night"?

The mistake here is quite visible. Yesterday means the previous day and night doesn't include daytime. So if you can very well say "i was at my uncle's house until                     yesternight."

7.The prom night was amazing! There were many programs like dancing diva "and all".

The words "and all" are used as fillers and if mentioned at the end of sentences, they leave the sentence incomplete. Avoid using them.

8. "Anyways", i will see you tomorrow.

The word anyways doesn't exist in the english dictionary. It is actually "anyway".

9. The party was "too good".

The word "too" is used to talk about something that is extraordinary or abnormal. If you are talking about anything that is pleasing to your senses, neveruse "too".

For example: He is too tall. (correct)

Her dressing sense is too good. (incorrect)

10. If i "was" there at the site, i would have completed the work.

The mistake here is that "was" never comes after "I". The word  to be used is "were". You may also use "had been".
