The greed for power and the greed for authority has landed our nation in a huge trouble. Every political party today has clearly got some aims other than the development of the nation. Corruption was a serious issue before a couple of decades too but the fact that it has risen to prominence in the recent times clearly shows the trouble we are in now.

Politics has a great influence on our country's economy. It is certainly one of the factors controlling the Indian economy. But the present scenario provides a miserable future to our nation. Corruption is certainly the biggest issue doing the rounds now. The Commonwealth Games scam, the 2G scam, the vote-for-money scam, etc.- all these events simply show te problems that the common man is facing these days. The taxes paid by a common man today is going to the pockets of the politicians making them millionaires overnight rather than the development of the people.

Corruption is just one of the bad sides in the politics these days. Apart from corruption, the so called elected leaders are involved in numerous cases of murder, false procurement of lands, so on and so forth. The saddening fact is that even after being involved in the so called cases, these leaders\politicians use their power to come out from behind the bars. It is actually the power vested on them by the people of our nation to lead them in the right direction. But it is quite clear that they misuse this power for their personal interests.

In the present situation when actually nothing is going right for certain of the Indian polticians, since all their acts are being exposed in the media very openly, it is time that they turn back to decent ways and influence the younger generation as well as others to lead the Indian economy to greater heights.
