It is a fact that except Vajpayee, most other leaders were present at the site of Babri mosque at the time of demolition. The union government at center did nothing to prevent the incident despite adequate information. There was large gathering at the site and perparations for demolition were not done overnight. The case in court is not about demolition but is about title to the site and that how the site is to be divided among various parties- viz. Nirmohi Akhara, Ram Janma Bhoomi Nyaas, Babri Masjid Trust .

If the Congress is free from any blemishes, No it he should not be respected. First of all Congress should set its own house in order. If Congress punishes Narasimha Rao, it should punish Rajiv Gandhi first for his Bofors scandal.
