The drive in restaurant by Escapade Restaurants Pvt. Ltd.is situated just 100 meters off the OMR near Okkiampet with a green sorrounding & a waterbody called Muthukadu Lake passing next to it.Spread over 3.5 acres of land it demands to be one of the largest restaurant in India in terms of space.The interior is a cottage like space with furnitures made out of wood & decorated with bamboo & coconut reeves.
The restaurant staffs are good & prompt .The food that they boast of being organic & calorie controlled did not really seem so,but was authentic & tasty.The best part being the natural air(its non ac)& food served in tandem till you drop.
They offer corporate/team buffet on bulk booking.Since once it was my birthday party we had a buffet which included delicious veg starters like tandoori platter & crispy vegetables while non-veg starters included tandoori chicken & mutton served along with chatni..The main course had salad, raita,papads, soups to start off & everyone enjoyed the veg biriyani,mix noodles,naan & roti with mushroom sukka fry, chicken jalfreizi and sea food special karivepillai prawns .The deserts were organic fruit salad , kheer & ice creams.
The first good experience inspired me to go again with a small group of friends when we ordered some chienese starters like veg wanton & lollypop chicken,which were decent.The main course of peshwari naan,schewzwan rice along with mutton sukha fry & chicken tikka masala was good enough.The jalzeera at the end gave a satisfied feeling to the stomach.
The highlight of the restaurant was the playground they offer for playing badminton,Cricket, Volley Ball.It also offers a huge parking space,a special children’s play area,rest room.Its not only a great place to come in a group as you can enjoy the outdoor games & a good buffet.,but also to come with family as there is a lot of space for kids to run around & play while you to feel close to natural splendor.
According to me advance booking through phone can be done for space & to decide menu for buffet while A family should do away from going late at night because of its location.
