As they say if you are a young professional then you can invest a small part in shares but if you are past 50 you should keep your savings in fixed income methods. Risk is not proper for you.

Well i still believe that if you know the smart of investing in shares then you should do it. If you don't know, then you need to learn it by studying some shares in which you want invest.
My father started investing in shares a way back in 2004 or 2005 and now he is the master of it. He not only works for 12 hours in a company but also keep a watch on shares as well. Watch Business channels and understand the scenario.
It can be one of option to invest your money. Risk is there, as sunilji said.

You should invest in shares if you are sure you can bear the loss of that much money. Profit and loss is upto your luck. I would say that the bulls can feel which shares are profitable and which is not.

Well i don't see any difference in gambling and share marketing. They are volatile and unpredictable. Nothing is certain. And I know there are gainers in it. But they lose sleep and mental peace too.

Investment and not speculation is good in shares. You need to select a few scrips on basis of fundamentals like earning per share, price earning ratio, book worth, profitability trends. The selected scrips should be for long term investment.

Well, there is nothing wrong in it but yes it is surely risky. Investing in any share after proper investigating about it can be profitable. We need to keep in touch with latest news about that share and related things.

It depends on how far you are ready to take the risk. As my friend Rambabu has said share investment is nothing but gambling and a definite risk to your peace of mind so it depends on you .so are you ready to gamble or not.
