Is life incomplete without a life partner?

Now everyone are self dependent and those Indian traditional principles of 'settled with marriage life and children' have gone. It's said, life is incomplete without a life partner and you will be alone. Now it's time of divorces. We can see many around us including celebrities like Lata Mangeshkar, who are not married but happy with their life. Should we have a partner to make us complete?

We don't need a partner to make us feel complete..but with a partner it becomes easier to share the highs and lows, joy and sorrow of life. Though the number of divorce rates have gone up and though there are many people who prefer to lead a single life, there are still a large number of married couples..who are happy together. The institution of marriage is still on in India and will continue in the coming years too.

It is not necessary that without life partner life is incomplete, it actually depends on a person's mindset. Although marriage as an institution is still thriving in India, more and more people are changing their outlook and think that career , education and hobbies etc. are enough to make life complete and perfect for them. Right or wrong, it is becoming a trend and a personal choice for many. Although having a partner does make life easy and worth living for.

Not necessarily. Many celebrities by remaing bachelors had a complete life. In fact, marriage is hindrance for achieving cherished goals for some. There is a Sanskrit saying, "Vivahaya Sarva Nasanam." it means marriage ruins one's life."

every individual is complete in himself. What else he needs depends on him. Thus if one cannot live well without drink, he is incomplete without whiskey. If somebody feels uneasy without songs, he is incomplete withut music. We need to see this way whether one is incomplete without a wife. I am unmarried and feel comfortable. So my life is complete without a wife. But many others are incomplete without a wife or a husband.

It depends entirely on the person and also on the situation.A tradition bound person might feel that his or her life is not complete without marriage and a life partner whereas a person who is unconventioanl may be happy having a live in partner but no marriage. There is no strict rules in life and we see more and more people these days prefering to remain single because of what marriage involves. They may have friends/lovers but may remain single...Personally speaking I feel that marriage has both advantages and disadvantages and it is one big balancing act that is needed to keep it inatcat and keep it going...

It is not necessary. But yes if you have partner then he or she can be your company for life time(depends on relation)..  It is not for all but after some age person may found himself or herself alone. So it will be better to have some lifetime partner... a good one.

It depends on person to person, what they think. Some people think that they can live alone easily, some feel it harder without the life partner.

It is right that marriage is not necessity but if each and every one follow this principal how this world survive. This world is for human being. Giving birth to child without marriage is possible but it is immoral. Lata Mangeshkar said many time that remaining unmarried is my mistake. DR. Kalam did not marriage because he had not time for it. Some persons don't marriage for different reasons.

I believe, having a life partner and to become complete are two different aspects of life. My life has my own principle and dream so how can another person complete my life. Sharing a good company may make my life easy but it can be devastating if the companion is bad. So, there is no question of becoming complete after marriage because completion comes through the attainment of lot many things. If one gets a life partner as s/he wanted then it gives contentment but not completion because life is much more than just a marriage.

No, its not a necessity or mandate to have life partner. APJ Abdul Kalam, Lata Mangeshkar and there are other examples as well. We need a partner when we don't know ourselves better and need someone to support our feelings and emotions and when we cannot tread on life alone. But people who believe they can, they will. It's case based study.

Your life is for you and you need to have a perception to enjoy it to make it fulfilling and complete. Having a life partner is a choice that you make. Your partner shares the ups and downs of your life and vice versa when you walk through your journey together.

Completeness of a life depends on how meaningfully you can live it. And you and only you have the power to live it completely. Having a partner might add to the difficulties or ease the difficulties depending on the person you got. So he /she can be like a seasoning but the actual recipe always lies with us.

I just like to mention "Life partner is a part of your life but not your life in entirety".

No life is  not incomplete with out a partner. But a journey done along with someone  is more entertaining than the one that is done alone. As the saying goes life partner is part of life but not heart of life.
