When you are calm, you can understand a problem better and solve that. Problem and solution do not differ. Solution is nothing but resolving a problem.

Yes and no both..sometimes we function better under pressure or when we are in a problem situation. But a calm mind helps steer our thought process better I guess, so we tend to focus more on solutions.

I can do both, concentrate on problems and solutions while I am calm, even while I am stressed I still can solve or think over my problems without any hint of problem. That is what I have been trained for by my profession. That's how one passes tests of life.
