Blood count and hair fall

Is there any relationship between low Hb count and hair fall?

Most recently when I met my sister-in-law I was extremely shocked seeing her hair. Soon after marriage, she had good locks of hair. Now they are staying in city and using corporation water. So, she thought it's due to the use of chlorine water for bathing. But recently, she came to know that her Hb count is only 8. something. So, I feel, this could be the reason, not chlorine water. Any idea?

Whenever something is wrong with our health, the first ones to suffer are our hair and skin, and being anemic because iron is essential for our good health and vitality. Especially in women, anemia is main reason for hair loss combined with other reasons too. Here's a link that may help:

Unlike men, hair loss in women is attributed to many reasons. The reason for hair loss in a man is mostly hereditary male pattern baldness. Whereas in women, it’s not so. Hair loss in a woman may be caused by a plethora of conditions. Which is why many tests are conducted like Hormone levels like testosterone, prolactin to name a few. Out of these tests complete blood count CBC is one. It implies, blood count also contributes to the hair loss in a woman.
