Lata Song Close to your heart

No doubt, Lata Mangeshkar songs have influenced me a lot. I often feel that listening to her songs have played a significant role in moulding ny character. Definitely I have 100s of her songs close to my heart.



If I pick one song, it's Nayana Barse of Woh kaun thi with Madan Mohan Music. Since I have seen Aradhana in my teens, Chanda hai tu touched by heart strings. As I grew up, romantic songs filled up.



Rasik Balma, Nayanom mein badra, Oh sajna, Tera jaana dil ke armanom ka, Na jaa o mere humdum, Yaara sili sile, Tujhe dekhti hoon, Dikhayi diye yu, Lag jaa gale, Woh bhooli dastan, Ajee rootkar ab, Mujhe tum mil gaye, Pani pani re...... Oh! Really a Herculean task. My list is incomplete. Definitely I might have missed a few.







Can you please a few such songs of your favourite? Forget not to mention, if some song is very close to your heart.

Picking any of her songs as a favorite is really a herculean task, there are simply too many in her repertoire that are a grade above all the rest, so it is very difficult to name any one or even a few. But still, here's my list that I Really like!
1. Tere Bina Jindagi mein koi....Aandhi
2. Aayega aanewala.....Mahal
3. Ajeeb dastan hai yeh......Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai
4. Allah Tero Naam Ishwar Tero Naam. ......Hum Dono
5. Bahon Mein Chale Aao..........Anamika

I like many songs. It is really difficult to choose one of her great song.
But, among them Aye Dil-E-Nadan [Razia Sultana] is closest to my heart.

The song that's close to my heart is a vintage song sung by Lata before my birth.
My father is a great lover of music. We had a gramophone. He used to hear the song, "Abhi To Main Jawaan Hoon" from film Afsaana, It was set to music by Husnlal Bhagatram.
Because i used to hear this song day in day out, it made an indelible mark on my tender heart. That's why i give the honor of being the song close to my heart,
"Abhi To Main Jawaan Hoon."
In the subsequent years that followed, "Aaja re pardesi, Main to kab se khadi is paar " from Madhumati has become my most favourite song of Lata.

I love her songs too.. Among them I have two favorite...

First one is Ek tu hi bharosa from Pukar movie, and second is ae malik tere bande hum.

I just love these songs.

Dikhayi diye yu--is one of my favorites...among others are songs like
Tu Jahaan Jahaan Chalegaa Mera Saaya Saath Hoga,
Shayad Yahi To Pyar Hai"
