Highly touching Bollywood songs

Earlier we discussed about heart-breaking film climaxes. What about film songs which truly touch our hearts and play with emotions? Most of such songs are highly philosophic and tell about human life and its meaning.

There is one song from Shor sung by Lata and Mukesh. I don't know why, since childhood whenever I hear this song or watch on tv, I feel sad. May be the film situation, philosophical words, take on human life or some unknown fact, Ek Pyar Ka nagma is really disturbing and haunting.

Similarly whenever I hear or see 'O Saathi Re' from Muquadar Ka Sikander, I feel really emotional. Any film in the recent past which does similar effect could be, title track of Kal Ho Na Ho? Have you ever experienced so with any film songs?

For me it has been " Mera Kuch samaan" from Izazat, " tujhse naraaz nahi" from Masoom and " ye zindagi gale laga le" from Sadma in the top three. Intoxicated with beautiful composition and voices and dipped in honey of Gulzar's lyrics. There are many more in the list but they top the list

I cannot think of any song  post 1970s that is really impactfull like it is with good old songs.  Most songs that really make an impact are the ones that are somehow connected to you in some way, have some memories attached to them...I will list out a few songs of my choice !

1, Zindgi denewale sun from the film Dil e Nadaan(  Talat Mehmood) ...probably the most loved song of all because my father wd sing it when I was a child because he loved the song.

2, Tum na jane kis Jahan mein kho gaye - Lata for film Sazaa - has many personal memories attached to this song.

3, Ae mere dil e naadan ,tu gham se na ghabrana - Lata again, film Tower House - one more that has many personal memories attached to it

4, Sau baar janam lenge sau baar fanaa honge - Rafi in Ustadon ke ustad - I have loved since the first time I heard it
