Sequels best than the first part

Similar to Hollywood, it's a new trend in Bollywood to do sequels. Don, Krish, Hera Pheri, Dhoom, Munnabhai, Jolly LLB, Murder, Tanu Weds Manu, Once upon a time in Mumbai, Ghaayal, Bhoot, Hate Story etc and also the famous Khiladi series..... A sequel of Akhiyon Ki Jaroke too was made with same actors in the recent times. Mollywood has witnessed such trends since 1960s or 1970s, mostly with detective crime series, and in the 1980s with a few comedy series. But in Bollywood the trend actually started in 2000s only.

What I feel is Bollywood has never produced any sequel better than prequel (except Nigahein) though it has gained in terms of box office collection. I liked Nigahein more than its prequel Nagin (I watched both the movies in the 1990s as a kid) In terms of quality, Phir Hera Pheri, Krish and Lago Raho Munna Bhai somewhat reached the levels set up its prequel to some extend. Lago Raho Munna Bhai is definitely my choice for best sequel in Bollywood in the recent times. Munna Bhai MBBS is my choice for the best, yet Lago Raho too is a finest work.

While Hera Pheri was a remake of a Malayalam film (Ramji Rao Speaking), its sequel was a fresh script, and original sequel of the original film (Mannar Mathai Speaking) too was made in Bollywood titled - Bhagam Bhaag, adding some elements of a 1980 cult-classic film. Phir Hera Pheri too was a good film, though it couldn't meet the standards set by its sequel.... Can you name a few movies of your favourites? Please add more missing film if any.
