Very much so, they can really make a difference as is proved in the case of Nirbhaya's case. The Government had to make some necessary amendments in the ancient moth eaten one sided laws and if this trend of active participation by the youth continues we can see some positive outcome in the future ...

Youth certainly has to play an important role in politics but most youths are not interested as the political scenario is not clean in our country.

Youth is important in politics for following reasons:

(1) The youth is to replace the old guard.

(2) Youth is vehicle of change and receptive to new ideas

(3) Youth is significant component of total population

(4) Children and aged are non working. Whikle children are learning, aged are retired.

Youth is important not only in politics but in all fields for the same reasons. Ideally, we should equipourselves with knowledge and skill upto the age of 20-30 years, work hard upto fifty years and then onwards train youth and finally retire at seventy.

Today's youth are tommorrow's Senior citizens and it is important for them to concentrate in developing the country in every field. Whether it is politics or games with new ideas and experienced gained from seniors , youth can set an example that at their age nothing is impossible to work out.

When compared to old, youth are more energetic and can handle situations strongly where old people cannot experiment. When coming to politics in today's world young ideas are necessary and which says that Youth are equally needed as other aged people.

The blame is towards older adults who have failed in their responsibility to transmit workable civic norms, to provide practical contexts in which young people can develop civic knowledge, dispositions and skills.

The involvement of the youth tin civic engagement would allow them to have their voice heard over the older voices who may not share the same interests.

Probably youth are more straight forward in their approach and less manipulative and so they may be less corrupt than their senior counterparts. Corruption being the most awesome problem of politics, I think this point cannot be missed out.Youth may think of chosing politics as their career as this probably is the arena least ventured by the youth for their career. This gives the youth a scope to serve the country. Sometime back some students of POWIET, Mumbai had disclosed their desire to enter politics after completion of their studies with a view to serving the people.
