Different ways
We are all different with different habits, qualities, traits, strengths and weakness, in fact, each one of us is unique. This uniqueness means that we may not always agree about everything. There will be differences of opinion. These differences can best be settled by allowing people to voice their opinions and enable ideas to mingle freely. The basic requirement is an open mind. We must `listen’ to other people’s viewpoints.
At the same time we must have the ability to voice our own opinions without hesitation. Disagreements should be settled peacefully. We should all try to play the role of peacemakers. This is particularly important today, as interdependence between the nations of the world and between people has increased manifold. We, therefore, need to understand the value of peaceful coexistence.
Two people or two groups may have completely different views on an issue. They have two options. They can either fight or have one of them win the argument. Or they can discuss the matter come to a better understanding. The person who comes up with a peaceful solution is wiser and stronger. In relationships there must be room to differ and disagree. We should not let disagreements ruin them. People are more important than personal opinions, likes and dislikes.
Conflicts arise out two things. First, we believe that we know the whole truth. Second, we believe that the other person is totally wrong. Both these beliefs are often incorrect. Both sides are usually partly right and partly wrong. They need to come together to reveal the whole truth, like a jigsaw puzzle does. No piece of a puzzle is wrong or irrelevant. But no piece gives us the whole picture either. We have to put the pieces together to see the whole picture. Life is also like that. Rather than insisting that a single piece is the whole picture, we must try to bring together the various pieces and enjoy the full picture.
It is everybody’s responsibility to avoid and settle conflicts and promote goodwill. You must take the first step. Do you know why? Because you are the only person you have control over.
Great Mount Everest
The greater Himalayas
The highest range of the Himalayas is called greater Himalayas. World’s highest mountain peak, the Mount Everest is in this range. Mt. Everest lies in Nepal region. There are also peaks like Kanchenjunga, Dhaulagiri, Nangaparabatta etc., in this range. Kanchenjunga is the second highest mountain peak in Himalayas and the third highest in the world. Mount K2 in Karakorum Range is the highest mountain peak in India. These mountain peaks are covered by snow throughout the year. Some times large body of ice slowly stars moving down the hill. These moving ice blocks are called Glaciers. Most of our big rivers have their source in this range. The river Ganga has its source from Gangotri Glacier. The well knows rivers are Ganges, the Hindus the Sutlej, the Brahmaputra. Vegetation is scarce here.
The Himalayas, in the north of the Indian country, stand like a high wall. Himalayas means the house of ice or snow. These are the highest mountains in the world. Most of them are covered by snow and beautiful. Himalayas stretch from the Karakorum Range in Jammu and Kashmir in west to Arunachal Pradesh in the east. The remaining part of chain separates India and Myanmar which is known as Purvachal Himalayas. These mountains run into nearly 2500 kilometers with a width varying from 240 kilometers to 320 kilometers.
There are three ranges in the Himalayas.
1) The greater Himalayas
2) Lesser Himalayas
3) Shiwalik ranges
The lesser Himalayas
This range lies in between the Greater Himalayas and the Siwalik range. Valleys formed between the lesser Himalayas and Siwalik range is fertile and beautiful. These valleys are known as DUNS. Dehradun is situated in one of such valleys. Famous hill – stations like Simla, Nainital, Mussorie, Darjeeling, and Srinagar are in this range.
Forests are found in this range. We can find cone shaped trees grow on these mountain slopes. Darjeeling is famous for tea –gardens.
The Siwalik range
This is the lowest range in the Himalayas. It gets heavy rainfall slopes of these mountains are covered with thick forests Bamboo. Palm and Sal trees are common here. It is regarded as the ``storehouse of wood.’’
Himalayas are very useful to us.
1) They prevent cold winds from central Asia.
2) Himalayas cause rainfall in India.
3) Forests of Himalayas supply wood to us.
4) They are the source of many rivers.
Dolphins are flying as flight jumping as deer. This happy to seen for enjoy thrill.
Dolphins are perhaps most intelligent sea animals. Her mind works as man brain.
They make various whistle is like calls to each other. All whales too make sounds to call their companions. Recently, there have been several reports about dolphins employed by doctors to treat children’s mental illness.
Humans have been very cruel to the dolphins and whales. Even now, they hunt these gentle creatures to get various products from their bodies and sell them for a lot of money.
Under a whale’s skin, there is a kind of fat called blubber. It is about 15 centimeters thick and keeps the whale warm in the cold ocean water. One large whale’s blubber yields about 30 tons of whale oil, which is used to make soap, margarine and several other things. Whale bone and whale meat are also worth a lot of money.
Whale hunting was very difficult and dangers before people learnt to use modern methods and machines. As modern technology made hunting easier and safer, large number of whales was being killed. By the end the last century, we had destroyed
7, 50, 000 for our pleasure and for money. Circus companies and parks make dolphins perform tricks for us. Many dolphins die in this way.
No one wants the largest animal on our planet to disappear. That would leave the earth a pooper place. So, we have to take care of and protect all these animals. They live for themselves, not for us. That effected to sea environment. We will see More Changes in the sea atmosphere
One seeing nine, zero burst out, ``I know I am of use. I don’t have any value. Everyone looks down on me, I wish I where of some use.
Nine led zero by the hand to Mr. Maths. ``why were you hiding, zero?’’ asked Mr. Maths. Nine said, ``sir, he thinks nobody value him and that he’s useless’’. Mr. Maths called zero to him. He put his arm around the sad number and said, ``zero, don’t you know your value?’’
Mr. Maths told one to stand at a particular place and then asked zero to stand next to him. `` see zero, with out you, one is of very little value, but once you’re next to him, his value increases ten times.’’. Mr. Maths called zero’s brother and made him to stand next to zero and one. ``now one is a hundred times more valuable’’. Mr. .Maths made many zero to stand in a similar way, increasing the value of one, to hundred, thousand, and ten thousand, a lakh and more.
Mr. Maths, saw zero’s face light up with confidence again, ``we all have a value, zero, no one is useless.’’
Zero was never unhappy again.
Everyone is important in the world. A field cannot be ploughed without a farmer. A building cannot be built without the laborers. Industries cannot be run without workers. At the same time, it is true that it is people, who buy the father’s again and it is the rich who pay the laborers and workers with their wealth. They need each other.
We should not look down on anybody. Each one of us should play our part to the best of our ability. However insignificant one is, when we join hands with others, the value of each of us increases. We work better when we work together and then the world will be a better place to live in.
Jesus Christ was an incarnation of humility.
Emperor Shivaji was a great ruler of the Marathas. His spiritual guru was saint Smarth Ramdas. Shivaji loved and respected his guru very much.
Once, along with his guru, Samarth Ramdas, Shivaji went to Sajjangad. He was constructing as huge fort there. At the construction site, Shivaji found thousands of people engaged in the work of the fort he had ordered to be built. Shivaji’s heart swelled with pride and he said to himself, ``there are thousands families working here, I have given them work and I feed them by giving them work. All these people are dependant upon me. How great I am.’'
Samarth Ramdas, who was standing beside Shivaji, heard his words. He wanted to make Shivaji aware of his pride. He asked Shivaji to instruct his workers to break a rock that was lying there. Shivaji immediately carried out his guru’s order. The workers split the rock into two. Shivaji was surprised when he found inside thee rock, a hollow space with a little water init, in which a frog lived. Samarth Ramdas turned to Shivaji and asked; Shivaji, are you the person who provided the space and water to enable the frog to live there?’’ how did you provide security and food for frog? It is wonderful!’’
Humility is a wonderful quality. It is the quality of the great. The greater the man, the more humble he is. A noble man never boasts of his qualities, because he knows he owes them to god.
Nobody loves a clever, but arrogant boy. Nobody loves a rich and an arrogant girl. It is wrong to be proud of knowledge and wealth.
The whole world knows about the qualities of Mahatma Gandhi, Vivekananda and Mother Teresa.
If you want to gain knowledge, be humble; after you have gained knowledge be even more humble.
Truth, non-violence, kindness, sacrifice, love and compassion are all the qualities of humility. A humble person is loved by all.
