What is Biogas

Biogas is a mixed combination of methane and carbon dioxide, produced by using organic waste. We get Biogas from vegetable waste, cow dung and other wastes. Biogas is like liquid petrolium gas [LPG]. We can use it for cooking the food and preparation of other beverages.

Making of Biogas

We can put all our organic waste in biogas digester. Various sizes of biogas digesters are availablie in market. It is from small household system to large commercial plants of several thousand cubic meters. Most of the biogas produced is used to feed the biogas by cow dung. Cow dung is one of the most important waste for producing biogas. Two types of biogas digester designs have been developed and marketed. First one is Chinese fixed dome digester and the other one is flating cover biogas digester. In both of the digesters the digestion process is same. But the collection method of biogas is very, very different. In both the digesters we can use the animal waste or cow dung to produce the biogas. Inlet pipe is used to feed the waste to the digester. Via inlet pipe only we can feed the waste. The temperature when producing biogas is to be kept in 30 to 60 degree celcius because at these temperatures only biogas can be produced.
If you have decided to build a biogas system, first you need to decide the size for the digester. It depends on how much biogas you need in your day to day life. We should continuously supply the water to biogas digester. Rain water harvesting system is used for supplying the water for biogas.

Is Biogas Safe or Dangerous

Biogas has no poisonous quality. The only danger is explosion of biogas by mixing with air ibnited by fire. You should not leave the tank with match.

How to maintain our Biogas System

It is very, very important to take training for Biogas maintenance of your bio gas system when it is installed. Biogas problems can be solved by local Biogas technicians. Contact local biogas technicians for any technical problem or technical issue with biogas system.

Biogas Reduces Global Warming

Biogas reduces global warming. It comes under the category of constructive science. Liquid petrolium gas is also called destructive science because it produces carbon dioxide. This is one of the causes for global warming. We should live our life in eco friendly environment. We should live without disturbing Nature and live in harmony with nature.

Benefits of Biogas

  • It provides very clean energy for household use.
  • We need money for initial investment only. No need to spend more money on fuel and no more smoke from wood or charcoal
  • Compared to firewoord, we can cook the food very easily with biogas
  • It will produce excellent fertilizers for farms.
  • It can help fight against global warming by allowing us to burn methane from organic waste.

Let us use biogas for our future cooking needs and save our money and save our earth from global warming.
