Who is a true friend ?
A friend must be capable of pulling us back when we are going to do a wrong thing.Our friend is also a human.He also may have limitations.But he may know whether the thing we are going to do is right or wrong.If he thinks its a wrong thing,he should stop us doing it.A friend shouldnot appreciate us when we are going to do a wrong thing.
One who leads us to the right...
He should also be able to lead us.Say what is right.this doesnot mean that a true friend should have a high intellectual power or knowledge.But from the mind,he can know it.If we are going to do a right thing,he should appreciate and motivate us;he should be with us.
Hide what is to be hidden...
Most of us say that there shouldnot be anything which is hidden between true friends.But revealing every thing is right always? If we know a thing which if we tell our friend,he may be misleaded or forced to do a wrong thing,then we have to hide it.A true friend should be a well-wisher.If he thinks something is to be hidden for his friend's welfare,then he should hide it.
Appreciate what is good in him...
A friend should appreciate what is good in us.It doesnot mean that he should be flatter us to a high extend.Just appreciate your friend for what is good with him.That will give him a positive power to live.And prepare him to meet failures coming in his life.
A friend in need is a friend indeed...
And this is a very old wise word,which have prominence now also.We have to help our friend when he needs it.we should hold his hand and stand beside him when he is in a trouble.Help him in whatever way you can.It doesnot mean that help is always financial,but sometimes it may also be financial.
