Here are some ways that will help you improve your results. First of all, you need to grease your cricket bat with Linseed Oil and allow it to soak for few hours. The next step will be hitting a wooden knocking mallet on the bat 10 to 15 times, you might notice a few dents but it is normal. Your bat will require a minimum of 3 to 4 hours of knocking session. It is important that you note that you need grease your bat before every knocking session. Also you need to apply oil at the base of  the bat or stick some water-proof material to it to prevent dampening of it’s willow by water through the ground. You should also hit the unshapely edges of the bat with the help of knocking mallet until they are in shape. The next step will be to attach a clear bat face to the bat,  this will help reduce cracking in it and will help in increasing the life of the bat, you should also note that no air bubbles get in while applying it.
