No more points for posting topics
in Announcements
As we see the topics flood is increasing day by day and no signs of coming down. If the topics all are good, there is no worry for us but there are 50% topics which go no discussions and are posted just for points. To complicate this even senior members and people who are asked not to do it are also posting them.

After a long discussions with many people to stop such things, it is decided that the points for posting a new topic is reversed. You will not get any points for posting topic.

However the points for replies will continue as usual.

Hope you all understand this change.

    Yes.. there will not be any points even if we post genuine threads. This will affect all members just because of few members.

    The decision not to give any point for new topic may lead to paucity of topics. This will leave only old topics that cannot be replied indefinitely.

    If there is no point then only required topics will come in to picture and member will post new topic because still they can get point by replying.

    IN fact I think that people who want to post serious and relevant topics do not care about points so this change may not deter them. In fact I think there will be an improvement in quality of topics, hopefully.

    and if a topic really does encourage discussion so leaving aside the very first post, the user will definitely earn points for his or her subsequent replies!
