    Adult education has both advantages and even disadvantages. that depends upon the way we teach

    Adult education can be given to students if it is needed so i mean it should be started after 10 th standard.

    You are right Pearl! Actually parents are the best people to teach their children about this crucial issue, but unfortunately our culture is such that speaking about sex and sexuality is a taboo subject and the parents themselves are against it, not ready to accept that this is a very essential part of their growing up!

    It appears that adult education is being discussed as teaching sex and allied matters that are adult content.

    In fact, adult education is government programme to teach the adults who escaped education during childhood. Adult education enables the adults to learn alphabets, some arithmetic and basic skill.

    This should also not be confused with higher education that is received by adults. Adult education refers only to imparting literacy to adults.

    Incidentally, I may ask ajay what he actually meant when he initiated discussion on adult education.

    Please read my post above and be clear about what adult education means. I have also given a link.

    Adult education does not mean sex education or adult content in education.

    This is 'education for adults' who failed to get any education during their childhood. This is just teaching reading and writing to grownups.
