Is Amiabh Bachhan really guilty of promoting false beliefs. A complaint has been filed against him for promoting beliefs in ghosts etc by way of modelling.

But is Bachan really guilt. No. He is just a model in an advertising video. Really it should be advertiser and those who conceived the Ad who should be booked.

But Amitabh is equally responsible to see the content of the Ad before agreeing for Modelling. Many Ads were refused by Sachin Tendulkar to pose as a Model because the Ads were glorifying the Drinking Habit.

I have seen the ad on TV many times. I don't think the case will stand against him. Advertising is a way to promote the products and if it was taken seriously, then there are many examples in Bollywood where ghosts and spirits have been used as story subjects. Moreover, it is for each one to believe if they are false beliefs or not. For some, ghosts may be the truth, for some, they may not be.
I have not seen this ad. the belief of ghosts is false can it be prove to be false in court of law, it is interesting how court reacts to it, the ad is all about his latest movies, and it seems it is a publicity stunt by Patil who filed case, the movie is about bhoot and its promo should be such way, though I have not seen this.

I agree with you. This case is not going to do any harm to Amitabh. Already the police refused to register an FIR in this case.

The main theme of an advertisement is the product or service. It cannot be said that the advertisemnt promoted belief in ghosts. Even the ghost stories for entertainment only are okay. It is only the serious and conscious support of blind faith that is covered by the recent law in Maharashtra banning black magic, superstitions.

Ads are like movies, you dont take them seriously esp when someone is play acting as a ghost......If that is the case there are so many such ads which need to be looked into.I fnd the ghost ad of Amitabh quite silly but it is definitely unfair to prosecute him for the ad since it involves many people , not just Amitabh !

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

True. Why the petitioner has forgotten AB's Bhootnath that ran successfully?
