What is the use of the post if it is not utilized by a person

What is the use of MP for selecting parliament if he is not attending and doing his duty for the nation. It is about Sachin Tendulkar. We all know he is the god of cricket but what he is doing for the post given to him is the big ?

    If he is not interested in that post he should not take it. If he attend and participate in sports agenda that department will get much benefit. In common wealth game India won gold medals in several departments. As a sports person he can do more for India in this line.

    This topic has been posted earlier in this forum. Nomination of eminent personalities are done as a recognition of their extraordinary services to the country. His services can be utilized in other ways also. without nominating to Rajya sabha.

    As an example. an eminent person's services can be best utilized as Advisors in many governmental and NGOs.

    He is only a nominated person and cannot b expected to do much in politics. Nomination is just an honour and we need leave this there.

    Exactly.. Personalities are nominated for their exemplary activities in their respective fields. We should not expect any parliamentarian reforms or activities from such people.
