:( :( It appears that the Hindutva brigade has no job other than creating controvrsy on irrelevant issues like Hindu identity of all nationals and so on. This is becoming funny.

Any day the RSS views are better than that of psuedo intellectuals like Mani Shankar Iyer who comes out with criminal statements like pushing Modi into sea and Sonia Gandhi who called Modi a Maut ka saudagar etc etc ....At least RSS wants to maintain Hindutva and is saying that they are not forcing it on anyone. I dont see anything wrong with it if they want to presrve the identity of a Hindu nation !

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

At least they are open and honest about it, unlike the others!

Let me answer a question posed by RSS chief. He says- If India is Hindustan, why the residents cannot be called Hindu. This is indeed funny. The residents of India are Indians. If you say, Hindustan, they are Hindustani. obody will object to being called a Hindustani but the term 'Hindu' relates to relgion and not nation. The saffron block is definitely pusing India to very dangerous path. The sooner we learn, the better.

I am sure that when Raj kapoor sang- Mera joota hai japanee, sir par laal topi roosi, phir bhi dil hai Hindustani. Definitely Hindustani is different from Hindu.

India is a name coined by Britishers and since most cities like Madras ( Chennai) Poona ( Pune ) , Bangalore ( Bengaluru) are going back to their original names I dont see what is wrong in calling our nation Hindustan. The only people who seem against it are Congress supporters and other psuedo secular parties , who dont know what secularism is in the first place but use the term for effect ! Caling does not mean anything since all citizens have a right to follow their religion ...

" Historically, the term "Hindustan" is usually applied to the Gangetic Plain of North India, between the Himalayas and the Vindhyas[6] and the Indus river basin in Pakistan.[7]

Further, it may pertain to numerous aspects belonging to three geographical areas: the modern Republic of India, the Indian subcontinent during medieval times, or a region in northern India, east and south of the Yamuna river, between the Vindhya mountains and the Himalayas where Hindustani language is spoken.

In modern Persian, Urdu and Hindi, Hindustan and its abbreviated version Hind usually refer to the current Republic of India. The abbreviated version appears in the common nationalist salutation of India, Jai Hind, coined by Major Abid Hasan Safrani of the Indian National Army as a shortened version of Jai Hindustan Ki (translation: Victory to India).[8] It was popularized by Subhas Chandra Bose, who used it on Azad Hind Radio during the Indian independence movement. It appears in the revered song, Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon. Today, it is widely used as a salutation and a battle cry in the Indian Armed Forces. It is also commonly used to sign off at the end of major speeches.

Most formally, in the proper disciplines of Geography and History, Hindustan refers to the region of the upper and middle Ganges valley; Hindustan by this definition is the region located between (but not including) the distinct lands of Punjab in the northwest and Bengal in the north-east. So used, the term is not a synonym for terms "South Asia", "India", "Country of the Hindus" [sic], or of the modern-day Republic of India, variously interpreted."

What RSS chief says is not binding for everyone, there are takers and there are no takers. In area mostly middle east, every Indian is called as Hindu, people from India are called as Hindu in middle east and this is reality, Hindustan is a Urdu term and it is related to Hindu and in middle east, people of India are called as Hindu, It is true while speaking they have lesser knowledge that Hindu relates to a religion. The word Hindustan comes out from word Hindu which derived from Sindhu, westerners cannot utter word Sindu and that is why they called as Indus civilisation and then India. Unlike Indonesia which have politically recognised the important attached with Hindu instead India or Bharat or Hindustan as whatever for namesake always relates Hindu with religion but in reality Sanatan dharma is the religion the oldest in world and oldest survived religions.

The people from India are called 'Hindi' and not 'Hindu' which is a religion. The slogan 'Hindi Cheeni Bhai Bhai' was also coined to indicate that Indian natioality may be described as 'Hindi' (not Hindu). However since 1950, our constitution refers to the country as India or Bharat. So matter ends here. Also, we may be called 'Hindustani' irrespective of religion. But not 'Hindu' if the religion is not Hindu. It is better to avoid controversy and use only 'Indian' or 'Bhartiya'. Otherwise our valuable energy and time will be wasted in such meaningless issues instead of real problems of people. But the saffron brigade lives on emotions only- may be Hindu Rashtra, Babri demolition or other similar emotive issues.

Okay I am ready to accept your version of Hindustani and Hindi but don't you think both indicate in a particular direction?

Thank you. words are not so significant. we need to see how people understand the terms. National unity and understanding is all that matters.

Absolutely ! Everyone knows that India, Bharat or Hindustan is the name given to a nation and religion is not an issue.....The problem with parties like Congress is that it is Jealous of the way BJP and Modi have gained popularity and also realise that they have nessed up every single border issue because of their fidgety policies. Now when Modi is taking some firm steps they want to divert the nations attention to some minor issues like Hindutva and RSS. If we cannot say we are Hindus in a Hindu majority nation where else can we do that ? Congress supporters are so stupid that they believe in any thing the party sychopants say to please their Italian leader !!!!

People of India in middle east are called as Hindu irrespective of religions, and that is what RSS tells if outisiders can call every Indian as Hindu why not Indians. Honorable supreme court also in one of its verdict says Hindu is a way of life,
