Despite scrapping of section 66A of I.T. Act,  one cannot afford to be reckless. Still there are various other legal provisions that may cause you trouble in writing online posts.

Sunil Abraham, executive director, Centre for Internet and Society clarifies that online posts are not exactly without regulations. Pornography or voyeurism on the net postings can be charged according to IT act.

We do not want more freedom than we already have for posting on internet. Everything within limit including 'right of expression' keeps society clean from fanatics.

True. To some extent I blame the blogger Rahim for his blatant writings abusing a particular religion. This blogger should know that freedom of expression doesn't mean, one can express in any way he chooses. The blogger who was killed has dug his own grave.

Freedom does not mean doing anything, including immoral acts, with an excuse that it is not written anywhere in the regulations. So, it is important that ‘Freedom’ is well defined; otherwise the offenders will find loopholes and misutilize it.

Freedom is well defined. But people understand the first part of the definition, "Freedom brings along with it Responsibility." the second and vital part "responsibility" is conveniently ignored.

Well not all activity should be allowed either. So yes banning on required things is necessary. Freedom not include bad things.

If one realizes the impact of such irresponsible offences on their own family members, perhaps there may be a a chance of wisdom prevailing on them.

There has to be a limit and boundaries for everything in life - As the saying goes too much is too bad, so also freedom of expression since it can easily become verbal abuse and infringe on another person's freedom. Any kind of freedom also comes with responsibilities..

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

In any society, system abusers outnumber the Users. Law breakers outnumber the law abiding people. India is not an exception. Freedom of speech will certainly be abused. This is my opinion.

There is a difference one can express his/her feelings but to write against any religion or community I won't say is good as one can't hurt someone's feelings through his/her freedom of expressing it online or anywhere.
