If the food is available at a throw away prices and they are meant for MPs, what do the administration think. Only MPs are the people of India? This parity cannot be viewed leniently.

Is anybody thinking about the common man who is suffocating amidst soaring prices?

By the way to put facts right This scheme was started by the UPA government in 2013 and is being continued now...One can only blame the present government for not taking the intiative to stop the wrong doing done by the previous regime

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Now without thinking who this scheme starred, It's time to scrap this scheme..The present govt. should take the initiative.

I knew it but the amount of subsidy is so big was not known to me. As The Modi Government is against all subsidies he should stop this scheme immediately. MPs and ministers do not deserve any subsidies whatsoever.

All MPs are united on such issues irrespective of party affiliation. .

There should be a way out. It's the responsibility of the govt. to abolish this burden on the exchequer.

The BJP is no different from the Congress and UPA.. I do not think this subsidy will be abolished by Modi. Justice Katju ex  judge of the Supreme court has written that  the only way india will move forward is when we dump  democracy and this parliament and have a revolution. The french had their revolution in 1789 and China in 1949 and its about time as per him the indian people will revolt. i also feel the same , though it may not be in my lifetime.

Subsidies are no different from a kind of bribes. I agree. But to say BJP is no different from Congress and UPA is a hasty conclusion. BJP inherited a burial ground made by the erstwhile governments. Change takes time. Rome was not built in a day.
