A student in Assam was nabbed by CID for internet banking fraud. It came to light that the student had embezzled four SBI accounts to his advantage.CCTV footages showed the student copying ATM PINS and card numbers stealthily to his cellphone from behind the customers while more than one persons entered together in the ATM.
So as per RBI,
1.Dont take out your card until you are inside the ATM room
2.Enter ATM one by one
3.Change PINs from time to time

Such frauds are coming to light in recent months in other forms too and all of us must very cautious in using internet banking. Thanks Rajesh!
Improper use of technology is shown again and its quiet common now-a-day..but i dont understand why students are loosing their morals..
Dear Friend,

This has been happening quite often, since net banking has started in India. It has become really hard to nab this kind of fraud because its cyber crime.

Thanks for sharing this incident.

Thank's & Regard's
Bharat.
If we don't lower our guards and strictly follow the dos and don'ts we can effectively counter it to a significant extent.
Now a days the security in ATM's are sitting idle. They are allowing 2-3 persons to stand inside the ATM's which is totally meaningless. The individual should also be aware of all banking frauds happening around him/her.
Many fraud activities are occuring in internet banking. So beware of them.

The customers themselves enter the ATM cabins in twos or threes. Especially in summer, nobody wishes to wait outside the air conditioned ATM cabin. Even if there are more persons in the cabin, the user should stand in such a way that use of the keyboard is not visible to others.

This information is very helpful --- Now a days, there are many scams and hi-tech frauds seen in the society.. Most disturbing is that , here the culprit is a common man.. :(

Thanks 'n' Regards,
Deepti.
In my local place we wait for the man inside to come out.But in city all are inside!!!
