Lokpal bill will be law very soon, promises Sonia Gandhi

    The intention of government is very clear. However, the recommendations of standing committee of parliament are not yet available. The government will consider the recommendations of standing committee and thereafter present a bill duly approved by cabinet to parliament. It will depend also on all parties in the UPA as well as opposition to discuss and pass the bill. There are many other bills also pending before parliament. We cannot expect Government and parliament to make haste and pass the bill immediately just to appease the anna team. The bill is definitely likely to be presented in winter session but this may be passed in same session or carried over to the next.

    The pension scheme is presently available. Some banks and other institutions are providing the pension scheme. You may find out from internet or otherwise and get a scheme.

    Hope Congress sticks to its words. If Lokpal bill does become a law, it will be a very big boost to the movement of Anna Hazare. But let's see, when the bill is staged up in the Lok Sabha.
