What is the problem if Sachin Tendulkar is nominated to upper house?

There are so many other nominated members who have done so little compared to Sachin. Why are they making so many objections on technical grounds?

    Yes that's the problem there have been many celebraties in the past too who were the part of the politics then why can't Sachin be.I also can't understand it. :)

    Actually Sachin is too much busy in cricket so he has to decide his position.I think he has thougt that it is right and he has accepted the honour.

    No doubt, Sachin Tendulkar is an M.P. But still he cannot be considered as a politician. He is nominated by President in his capacity as sportsman. He cannot vote in President and vice president election and even on a confidence or no confidence notion.

    Let us hope that he will represent the sports issues and present his views and suggestions as to how increase our medal tally in Olympics.

    That is true these celebrities from different field are selected and sent to upper house for this particular reason. They are experts of their fields and know their job. Sachin probably can suggest a few ways and hopefully his voice would be heard.

    We hope so. As a sports person, he can put forward many suggestions for popularizing other games too....in our country....like hockey, basket ball etc. Since people see him as a role model, he can campaign for other sports too.....sure, he can become successful. If so, he can do a lot as an MP. Let us wait and see!

    I think so. He will not get time. Still now he is a player and too much tight schedule.
