Greeks are going to elect a new government which might have far-reaching consequences on the common European currency 'Euro',eurozone economic crisis and the global economy. What do you think?

I am not surprised that that it has not drawn a single reply. After all who cares to update oneself on one of the important global developments, when other topics are there! But from the SEO perspective, responses would have drawn visitors for Boddunan! Alas, that's not going to be!
Pro bailout parties have won in Greek elections. That has given a feeling of relief. Euro has jumped after the results.

Greece now faces risk of social explosion. There is big turmoil. This is despite bailout parties getting edge.

I think the indecisive verdict may have just averted Greece leaving EU for th time being which looks inevitable in the present scenario!

I agree with this. I suggest that the most popular key words should be intimated to members and they be required to write on those topics. Also certain topics be given every week for discussion in forums. members may be required to write only on these and no other topic.

There is another problem. There are not more than twenty active members. Often there are only four or five on line. They cannot be expected to have adequate knowledge on matters of domestic and international economy.

On Sunday, I was not active. I saw this thread yesterday. But what to do. I know Greece is in financial problems. Nothing else.
I don't want to post any blunder in such a serious topic. That's why I didn't respond.

Yes, active members are low. Also, knowledge limitation

There are some Left parties in Greece who would opt out of Euro zone and they do not agree to terms of bail out as these are harsh to workers. But the election results indicate success of pro bail out parties. Thus crisis is eased.

By reading editorial and main news in newspapers, we may get informed about burning topics and after some thought, write our views in forums.

Personally I feel that nothing earthshaking will happen except a short term rally by the stock marketeers and forex traders after which things will settle down..I may be wrong of course

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Nothing would change besides there is so much behind the scene that this is not going to make a difference.
