Bail for Elephant

In kerala few days back elephant killed 3 persons in temple. For that they had paid for bail is 15 lakhs and given statement next time this wont behave like this.
So I think this is the first animal to get bail.

I don't know how an elephant can be subject to court trial and the procedure of bail. I have seen that stray animals are caught by corporation and kept in custody. The owner if any would pay fine for their release. There could be similar procedure for animals also. I think that elephants are covered by wild animals law and forest department is responsible for them. It would be possible to comment more if a link for the report were given.

I don't think its a bail. The owner must have given an undertaking with an assurance that in future such act will not be repeated in presence of local elders.

I have seen in hindi movies that animals are killing villians for revenge. I felt that it was nice creativity of the story writer.

In reality, animals kill people in jungles or in villages. They are just made scared but never caught except the dog catchers catch the dogs, etc. I think this is first time even for me to read such news.

Actually the pet animals will help the owner- right or wrong. In the movie. 'mard', dog and horse both helped the hero. If the animals belong to villain, they will help him rather.

Actually wild animals never kill just for the sake of killing, they will kill only if they are threatened, they are injured intentionally by humans or if they are hungry and are looking for food! Unlike humans, they never kill for pleasure alone.
