Monorail is going to run in Mumbai. According to the Maharastra Chief Minister, Monorail will help the city to reduce the hectic traffic. The trial run was successful that happened in February. The rail service is expected to be generalized in August 2013. The question is whether the rail will be able to help people reduce the traffic?

No doubt it reduce the traffic. It is also good for envoirnment. Government must be encourage public transport.

Apart from Mumbai monorail, a project on Trivandrum monorail was also proposed some years ago but it is still only in the starting process. The problem is the government announces such projects but they do very little to finish it. Yes this project will be a assurance for people from their daily hectic traffic routine.

We Indians are some lazy in maintaining. We feel proud in breaking rules.

We care least about maintaining public property. This we can see in the Indian Railways. If the condition prevails in Monorail after it's entry, it's survival us doubtful.
