Such incidents will make anyone mentally sick. Now every man- minor, adult, aged, demon or saint is suspect. It appears that facilities for sex starved in malls and other places are more necessary than food. My be sex toys could help.

If I remember rightly, in May this year, there was a similar incident. I watched this show in Crime Patrol. In that show the names and the places are changed. So, I can't say if the incident indeed took place in the very same city that they showed. But what I want to say is that this incident looks a xerox copy of that incident as well.
Really very very shocking...
Very bad to hear this news. This shows that our discipline and cultural values are decreasing.Really such persons should be punished.

People have been punished before. But there isn't any exemplary punishment. And even if that happens, rapes won't stop. People aren't afraid of committing crimes still. What needs to be changed is the mindset. Once that happens, then only will such crimes stop.

I don't believe that we had cultural values any time. Even king of Hindu gods- Indra sexually assaulted Ahilya. Drupadi was sexually maltreated in royal gathering. There are many such examples. The Hindu kings and village kulaks would often rape and assault women of lower caste.

What we need is to get rid of the culture that treats women as mere commodity. What is 'kanya daan'- observed in marriage. This means- 'donating girl'. Thus girl is considered a commodity that can be donated.

I honestly believe that the lot of girls and women with either physical or mental handicap is the worst in India - may be we are lagging behind a few African nations!!! I still can't forget my early childhood experience of a treatment meted out to one of my relatives who was a young girl with some polio-related problems. I was with others to attend the wedding ceremony of a member of this family and believe me, I still can't hold my tears when I narrate this. She was hobbling around in the distant corner of the courtyards in a white saree which was normally reserved for widows in those days!! And I rushed to her, oh, what divine smile she wore on her lips and then vanished into her assigned cell or would you call it a room? I stood dazed, her own people won't let her even partake in the joy of her near and dear one. What shame! She died a few years later, may be, her God was kind to her at least once!!

What a sad incident! Instead of taking care of such women and getting them treated properly is the last or not at all the priority list of their families. This incident reminded me of a family who lived in my neighbourhood while we were living in Air Force quarters. Their eldest daughter was about 15 and had some mental illness but instead of treating her, they used to keep her locked up in an outhouse and at times she got violent they forced red chilli powder in her mouth! Later on she became totally crazy because of these atrocities and she had to be committed to a mental hospital. Now she is dead!

I know of another family whose only daughter was mentally retarded and when she came of age, they were advised by doctors and some social workers to get her uterus removed so that if she were taken advantage of ever, there would be no complications of unwanted pregnancies!

Our roots have rotten completely, both mentally and pysically... We are in too much lust which can't be controlled so we victimize anything that comes under to fulfill that.. What have we turned our selves into.. So inhumane we have become..

Now I am convinced that the easy approach to porn sites on internet and the material dished out on TV sickens the minds of even children. The wide spread sex phobia is responsible to a great extent. There is stress by many on dress code of girls. But the actual incidents indicate that any female is good enough to molest and rape.

We cannot expect govt. to employ one policeman to guard every girl. Although we can not confine women to home, there is need to be more cautious. Walk in group and avoid lonely or unknown places. In these days of gay and lesbian deviation, one is not safe even from own gender. It is necessary to guard even small children- boys as well as girls.
